It's breech baby time! Turning a breech baby is THE most common reason for perinatal consultations referred to acupuncture by other health professionals. Refine your techniques and increase your results, while also honoring this variation of normal 💜

July 31 in Toronto 🍁

End of regisstration

Enrollment ends Friday 11th of July!

Live in person learning

A whole day on the art of treating and honoring the breech position, while also treating and honoring the person having a breech baby in their belly, and the struggle they might face

A complete class from A to Z

Greatly increase your confidence in your knowledge of breech (and increase your success rate too!!)

First half of the day

  • anatomy of the uterus and pelvis (in the context of a breech baby)

  • 3D vision of the baby in the space

  • differential “diagnostics” in TCM (the right assessment = the right treatment!)

  • the Tao of the breech baby (why some babies might chose that position)

  • causes and treatments of breech babies in Imperial China

  • UB67 moxa - why and how it works + the best protocols

  • how to talk to the medical team (and explain what you can do for their breech clients and get them to refer to you sooner)

  • the importance of the indoor pool: how to assess and adjust the amniotic fluids quantity, either by augmenting or reducing the water level

  • ECVs explained

  • the pre ECV treatment

  • setting up and presenting a treatment plan to your patient

  • two checklists to help streamline your treatments (have you thought about everything and assessed every muscle that needs to be assessed?)

  • how to position your patient during your treatment

  • exercises to recommend and handouts to give to your clientele

Second half of the day

  • the breech position, a variation of normal (how to treat without creating guilt or a feeling of inadequacy)

  • if the baby doesn't turn: a quick treatment plan on how to support a vaginal breech birth, or a more humane c-section

  • various types of moxa (and alternatives)

  • evaluation and treatment of the daimai (too loose or too tight, both aren't ideal)

  • how to safely release the diaphragm (and why is it important for breech babies)

  • trauma informed care (how to empower your patient instead of further increasing the trauma associated to their bodies)

  • assessment of anatomical structures that might limit available space

  • palpation of the uterus

  • palpation of the baby

  • disengaging the baby before the treatment starts

  • stretches and manual techniques to create more space

  • how to get the baby to help us in our goals

The teacher

10 year experience almost exclusively in perinatal and childbirth support

Rebecca Bergeron

Dip. Ac, Birth Doula, Childbirth Educator

Rebecca has assisted over 100 births as an acupuncturist and a doula in the last 10 years in Quebec, Canada, as well as working a private practice mostly focused on third trimester support and childbirth preparation. Her mission is to help as many people have the safe and empowering birth experience they deserve  – and in order to achieve that, she also teaches other health practitioners how to take better care of their clients during the pivotal perinatal period. Her treatment philosophies are: "details are very important", "empower the sh*t out of everyone", "make your patients feel like magical unicorns", and ''be humble, you are not the expert in the room''

Taking better care of these families

(because, unfortunately, the majority of breech babies are heading toward a planned cesarean section)

Many babies find themselves “stuck” with their bottom down... for these babies, we demand excellence from ourselves in order to free up as much space as possible and allow them to have the birth they want 💜

Simplify your clinic life!

As a bonus, you'll receive pre-assembled handouts that you can gift with your clients (to cover their options with a breech baby, to explain the exercises, to give them information on safe moxa practices (and on what points to heat and when), etc...

And you'll have a nice checklist sheet for yourself, to make sure you don't forget anything during your breech baby treatments! 🪻

Class notes

Your printed colored notebook

You'll have a beautiful document you can use as a reference during your whole career!

Rebecca's training on breech babies was a day full of knowledge and good sharing. I really enjoyed the perfect mix of theory and practice to assimilate the knowledge. I went home disappointed that the day was over. I would definitely take another course from this beautiful, generous human in the near future. Thank you Rebecca!

Marie Berthold

A must for any acupuncturist who wants to treat pregnant women. Not only does it cover overall treatment, including frequency of treatment, when to treat and how to position the patient, it also covers pathophysiology, statistics, how to talk to patients and lots of advice to give them.

In short, a complete training course with many rapidly applicable tools, given by an acupuncturist who is more than generous and passionate.

Marie-Caroline Darveau

I really loved my training on breech babies. It allowed me to better understand the concept of muscular tensions during pregnancy, especially in cases of breech. Now I analyze the patient's situation further in order to support different situations such as cases of oligohydramnios or polyhydramnios for example.... It’s so much more than Bladder 67 and moxa!

I recommend doing this training if you have a clientele of pregnant women.

Rebecca is a passionate and generous teacher and most of all, a wonderful human being who wants the best for the person who give birth and their babies. She really wants to help practioners to get better skills to make a real difference in the World. I took three classes with her. I enjoyed and learned a lot. She gives many different tools and her notes are really nice, clear and easy to refer to. I recommend!

Don't miss out!

Coming to Toronto for the first time

Your québecois collegue is venturing into your friendly neighbourhood to host this class for the first time in Ontario 💜

Perhaps your baby simply wants to stay closer to your heart. You can reassure them that everything is okay; right after their birth, they will be placed right back onto your heart, exactly where they belong.
